Heading Weekend-ward

Here it is Friday again, and not just any old last day of the work week. This is the last Friday before Daylight Savings Time begins for 2015. Are you ready? Last year it was a real struggle for both Mr. B and myself. May this one not be, for anyone!

Yesterday after Bible study I ran in the Sand Dollar where pickings were slim, but one treasure was found, right inside the door. Here it is set up, on another of my scrolly shelves, this one hung in the library.
Love the bright turquoise. It was $2.10 and still had a Crate & Barrel label on it. Now, check this out:
Here is a lamp sighted at Target this morning. Are they eerily similar or what? The color in real life is brighter than this picture, if not quite as turquoise as the vase. I would love to get one, but the thought of bringing something breakable into Kitty City here gives me pause. Most of our current lights are metal or wood or otherwise indestructible, aside from bulbs, which has saved a lot of broom and dustpan work over the past several years. It wouldn't really look as good surrounded by a metal enclosure, the way they do trees on city streets, alas. That's all I've got for now. Hope your weekend is great!

I need that white shelf and gray lamp. I haven't been thrifting lately. I need to get out there before you get all the good ones.
