Another Collection

Spending so much time shopping in thrifts or at yard sales it is hard to resist buying old linens. This post is about some of the vintage tablecloths I've accumulated over the years; some, not all, by any means. The rest will have to wait for another day to get shown off.

There  are quite a few  flowered ones.

These remind me of some my mother and grandmother owned.

This one has fruit:

There are a couple of plaid:

and also some holiday themed ones:

These are stored in a small buffet, so they have to be ironed for use, but that's okay. I enjoy seeing these remnants of earlier decades on the table. I will share the ones that are embroidered and special napkins in another post. Do you collect linens, napkins, or other bits of finery from a bygone era?

Thanks for visiting. Have a great weekend!

I have a weakness for vintage linens, though I don't have that many in my collection. Thankfully, a thrift store in my area gets them regularly, so I've slowly been able to add a few affordable pieces. Many of them are lace and embroidery which goes well with the Shabby Chic look I like.

I very much enjoyed seeing some of your collection and do hope you will show more of them soon! I especially like the last piece with the coral and white roses.

Pretty sheets! Thanks so much for stopping by Posed Perfection this week and leaving me a sweet comment about the Modern Botanical Bloom Print. I am your newest follower. I hope you'll visit again soon and maybe even "follow me" back. Have a great week!

What a beautiful collection!
I dropped by Michele to thank you for your kind words on my Anne of Green Gables dresser - you're a no reply blogger so can't respond to your comment!
Big Hugs,

I love old linens! I was just hanging the prettiest pillowcase out on the line. It's not old.....but a new pillowcase made to look old!

Thanks for the inspiration today!

I love vintage tableclothes. Many of mine are card table sized and I find that I use those the most when I need an extra table for food at a party.
